Addiction

Is your porn habit a problem?

You might be wondering if your porn habit is a problem – or maybe you’re concerned for a loved one. We know there is a lot of confusing “information” and it can feel hopeless and overwhelming to pursue helpful answers.

Below, you’ll find a few videos that introduce our approach for addressing problems related to porn. At GROW Counseling, we believe that people use porn as a form of coping. It is not a healthy coping strategy but seems to offer escape, comfort, or fun. Long term, it causes loss, disappointment, shame, and disconnection.

Our approach is to provide a safe, non-shaming environment to explore the underlying needs or wounds that drive the addiction.

Our approach is to provide a safe, non-shaming environment to explore the underlying needs or wounds that drive the addiction.

We pull from a variety of treatment models and help our clients learn healthy coping strategies to use when they feel stressed, bored, overwhelmed, or alone. As they start to conquer the addiction, we work with them to repair the damage that it may have done in their relationships and in their career.

We often work with people who have tried many times to quit, but haven’t been able to find long term success. We would love to help you experience full freedom and healing so that you can live a meaningful, connected life.
