Marlayne is a graduate of Richmont University where she earned her M.A. in professional counseling. Her emphasis of studies included a specialization in the integration of Spirituality and Counseling. Presently she enjoys working with individuals, couples and groups dealing with a number of life issues.
Marlayne loves the image of soul formation and believes that each moment of a person’s life holds the potential to move in the direction toward transformation. In the process of counseling, she desires to create a place of safety for the needs of a client. It is within this secure environment and through the therapeutic relationship that Marlayne believes individuals can experience healing from the woundeness of life.
Prior to her studies at Richmont, Marlayne worked for many years with individuals and families within the fields of both public and private education. She also volunteered in a variety of settings including hospice, women’s shelters and tutoring refugees. She has lived in Atlanta for ten years and has three teen-aged children.
