Ann is passionate about equipping her clients to live happier, healthier lives. She accomplishes this by listening to each individual’s unique story, creating a plan to address concerns, and walking alongside the client throughout the process. She’s experienced in helping clients address thought processes or behaviors that pose obstacles to wellbeing, equipping individuals for problem solving and interpersonal effectiveness, assisting clients with emotional regulation, and providing strategies for distress tolerance. Her expertise includes trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, transitions, and a variety of mood disorders.
In her previous positions at Willowbrooke Partial Hospitalization Program and Hope Counseling Center, Ann counseled individuals, family members and groups, applying the proven techniques of interpersonal psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients define and achieve their treatment goals.
Ann earned a Master of Arts in professional counseling, with a concentration in trauma counseling, from Richmont Graduate University (formerly Psychological Studies Institute) and BS from University of Tennessee. She is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Ann is experienced in assisting clients who are dealing with trauma, a variety of mood disorders, grief, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and transitions.
